I'm Building a Monster!

...out of paper mache.

Starting with a paper bag stuffed with newspaper and cardboard.
Egg cartons form the skeleton for the lower jaw.

The top teeth are much longer, supported by egg carton and rolled
printed paper.

The mouth is lined with a newspaper bag attached with masking
tape.  The tongue is balled up newspaper taped on.

The lip is built up with paper mache, which works to attach the jaw.

The paper mache forms the tongue and teeth.  Clay tools also help.

The upper teeth are attached the same way.

Slowly they are covered with paper mache.

Drying by the fan helps speed up the process.

Stay tuned for more!
