Countdown: 4 Days Until Christmas!

The nice thing about dog cookies is they don't get stale as quickly as their
people counterparts so you can make them earlier in the week.

This year I made dog bones for Jada and Penny.  They loved them...

but they are not very picky.

Their buddy Brutus will be the real test.  This tin is for him.

And the were sooo easy! Here's how:

Peanut Butter Bones

1/4 c. peanut butter (I use creamy.)
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 c. water
2 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. oatmeal

Combine peanut butter, oil and water in a large bowl.  Slowly mix in flour and 
oatmeal until combined.  Roll dough to 1/4" thickness and cut with cookie cutter.
On an ungreased cookie sheet, bake at 375 degrees for 35 mins.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

I cooked them on the top rack and put them on a non-stick baking sheet and 
they came out great.  If they are too thick they will not turn as crispy but still eatable.
